    Thousands of Catholics, President Donald Trump, former president Joe Biden, and presidents of France, the Philippines, India, and Finland gathered at Pope Francis’s funeral. Prince William also took part in place of King Charles. For his solemn ritual, Pope Francis chose a wooden coffin as a testament to humbleness and self-giving. Even during the frailty towards death, he dedicated his earthly life to the voiceless. The revered Pope Francis chose a popemobile instead of a hearse, granting 150,000 mourners the chance to catch a final glimpse of him as the convoy moved through Rome. Buried in a private ceremony, he ended his papacy. 

    Before the ceremony, Trump and Zelensky held a one-to-one meeting in Vatican City. While both heads described it as a good, productive meeting, Trump questioned Putin’s recent attack on civilians, rebuking his political actions, stating that Putin seemed to string him along, making him think that banking or secondary sanctions were the most likely to out of these issues.

2025 NFL Draft

    257 players had their dreams come true in the recent NFL draft, completed in the 7th round. CNN10 anchor, a former NFL player, shared his story from when he was drafted by the Buffalo Bills. He remembered feeling like a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs while waiting for the call. In 2002, during the NFL draft in the 3rd round, he received a phone call from the Buffalo Bills. Following that, his name popped up in the new ticker, which made him burst into tears. After being named in the 2002 NFL roster, he played with the team for 9 seasons. 

TikTok Trend to Overcome Recession

    Cornered by the recession, Gen Zs are asking tried and true tips from the older generation, Millennials, who’ve been through the Great Recession, a decreased job market, and suppressed spending. A recent TikTok shows Millennials weighing in on the discussion, walking Gen Zs through some tips. They suggest taking any jobs available, deleting layaway payment platforms, and most importantly, reducing spending. While the downturn from Trump’s recent trade wars is taking effect, Gen Zs are encouraged to be prepared rather than terrified, even though they feel downtrodden, bleak, and weakened, because the older generation has the answers. 

Two heroes saved residents from the fire

    Heading back home from school, two boys spotted fire and smoke coming from a retirement community. They called 911; however, they were already on a different call in another town. Immediately pulling over, they jumped out of the car and ran into the building, then took each floor, braving the deadly smoke. One inhaled smoke, but all of the residents were evacuated safely.
