Why is Election Day on Tuesday?
The Tuesday after the first Monday of November has been historically election day. To accommodate farmers, the Sunday, when people go to a church, and the Wednesday, when farmers go to the market to sell their goods, were left out. So, Tuesday became the most convenient day to hold an election and the U.S. is still observing this practice.
In this election, people will vote on mayors, governors, and legislative and constitutional issues, revealing their thoughts about major issues ahead of the Presidential election.
