A Spacecraft to Bring the Clue of the 4.5 Billion Years Ago.
7 years ago NASA launched a spacecraft, OSIRIS-REx, which stands for Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security, Regolith Explorer. It set out on a journey to an asteroid Bennu, to collect its material. It’s quite a mission because scientists believe carbon-rich asteroids, such as Bennu, may hold the key to understanding the origin of the Earth and solar system. NASA also found embedded water in that asteroid in 2018. If OSIRIS-REx is carrying the leftover material of the dawn of the solar system, we could embark on chasing down the seeds of life and the biosphere.
