A Zip Line Assists Relief Effort in Himalayan Flood Crisis.

The Himalayas in India is grappling with floods. A cloudburst serged water into the Teesta River, causing flooding. At least 13 bridges in that area have been damaged, disconnecting a Himalayan town from the mainland. Since the flash flood, a glacial lake burst its bank and damaged roads. Reportedly, 74 people have been killed and 100 are missing. To top it all off, poor communication, bad weather, as well as damaged roads, are complicating search for people. Well, people thought of a solution as to damaged bridges hampering supply to the remote village and they ended up with a zip line. This is conveying critical supplies to the cut-off Himalayan village.
