Paris is a 2000-year-old city with old infrastructure, transportation, and other businesses. Renovated subways equipped with ramps cannot function without assistance. Besides, some drivers don’t even know how to use them. 13 of Paris's main subway lines are inaccessible due to malfunctioning elevators. Additionally, only a tiny fraction of housing is accessible to disabled individuals.
Officials can’t believe 14% of transportation will be wheelchair-friendly by the 2024 Olympics.
