T-Rexes moved over thoroughbred horses from Emerald Downs. It was an event for under 14-year-old children sprinting in a dinosaur costume. The moment a starter pistol fired, dozens of dinosaurs ran long down the track. A blue one went down first.
Two families were in the attendance record to root for two four-year-old best friends. Alex Schooley and Sydney Petree participated in this race. They rocked the race holding each one's hands. Even though they fell behind, did their best as stragglers, waddling as fast as they could. Sydney crossed the line earlier than Alex, shrieking “We won. We won.” This momentous occasion was immortalized in a frame.
