Morocco Tore Down by Biggest Earthquake in 60 Years.

A 6.8-magnitude earthquake hit the High Atlas Mountains Range in Morocco. The dead were 2000. And 1400 are in critical condition. But it was not geologically deep along with a 4.9-scale aftershock, tearing 11 miles of this area. However, the ancient buildings had been compromised and weakened by the initial quake, which led to devastation. The King of Morocco declared three days of national mourning. 

There have been only a handful of quakes as tremendous as this since the 1900s. What worries people the most is that no matter how small another aftershock will be, it will rip away those buildings. Officials are expecting the wounded and dead to climb with rapidity. Moreover, the epicenter is 45 miles south of this isolated city, making assessment and rescue harder. This city has been devastated according to the local authorities in the foothills.
