A hip-hop organization, Soul Food Cypher, adheres to a strict rule; a positive narrative.

Teenagers who fill their soundtracks with Cyphers find most of them are negative and ephemeral, popping up and dissipating fast. It inspired a man to gather friends and establish a hip-hop organization, focused on positive and enduring cyphers, Soul Food Cypher. They aim to feel comfortable when they talk about their lives and the true stories around them.

Beyond the monthly Cypher meetings, they visit schools and teach students how to express themselves. It’s not only an aspirational occasion for students but also a loving place for the instructors. One of the instructors spoke to the way how the momentous occasion reminded him of his tough time at school. He’d witnessed many students sharing experiences similar to what he had gone through. He added that the students would build a bond and rapport through the curriculum.
This organization is looking to showcase positive hip-hop cultures at workshops or hip-hop events.
