Caldore fire is listed as the 17th largest wildfire in California. It scorched 126,000 acres and 461 homes in two weeks. It bore down on Tahoe Lake, where its stunning mountain and blue water are obscured by smoke. According to a Spokesperson of CAL FIRE, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the terrain and fuel load from severe drought caused this circumstance. This wildfire leveled almost the whole Grizzly Flat. One evacuee has been sleeping on the bed of this pick-up truck. Thanks to someone who donated a mattress, he doesn’t have to worry about ridge grinding his back. But thousands of evacuees, staying at refuges, remain in limbo. Since this devastation is ongoing, seven states are under hazardous air quality. Only 11% is in containment, and 17000 structures are in threat.
