K-idols and Teenagers’ Diet.

Every time you turn on the TV, you can see that the vast majority of actors, singers, and celebs are skinny. “K-idols”, especially, are so thin that some of them wear clothes meant for elementary schoolers.
Teenagers tend to idolize celebrities and want to be like them. They eat what their idols ate, wear what they wore, and dye the same color as they did. Idols’ style, body shape, and weight become the standard for teenagers. They influence teenagers’ societies and lives. The problem is they want to be as skinny as their idols. They skip meals or eat only a small portion of food. The thing is they are in a growth spurt. It is a no-brainer; a decent amount of nutrition is necessary for their bones, brains, and blood, and for providing them with the energy to grow up. Lack of nutrition can damage brain function and bone density. Even though they are aware of this truth, they fast meals again. They are too afraid of being relatively overweight in their class.
Teenagers have never been adults, so they don’t know how precious being healthy and focusing on studies are. So, the media should spotlight the idols’ different aspects, such as their intelligence and health, in order to discourage such behaviors.
