NASA’s been investigating Mars by observing, orbiting, and roving around. A recent $2.7 billion perseverance mission is the helicopter liftoff, 2.5 feet and 4 pounds of weight. It cost $23 million to develop. The key point of this mission is if a powered chopper, Ingenuity, can fly on Mars. NASA stated they would implement this not until April 8th and not before passing a series of tests. There was the very first manmade airplane; the Wright Flyer. It had more than 40 feet of wingspan and was made of wood, aluminum, canvas, steel, and iron. As a tribute to Wright Flyer, scientists brought a tiny postage stamp-sized fabric from the cover of the plane. In 1969, the fabric and splinter of the wood traveled to the Moon aboard the Apollo 11 mission. Once again, it will travel space toward Mars on board the chopper.
