Has COVID-19 Ended in THE U.S.?

Covid restrictions have eased up in dozens of counties in the U.S. During the weekend, lots of spectators gathered in the National Mall to soak up the nice weather and watch the flyover, saluting first responders. Most were wearing no masks and in close proximity, defying the distancing precaution. Others appeared to be following the safety guidelines. The medical staff enjoyed the moment of honor. They have worked tirelessly for letting people’s hair down and take it all in. This was anything but statewide freedom. In California, protesters gathered to demand the government to lift restrictions, claiming they were infringing on their right to freedom and causing unnecessary damage to the economy. Debates raged on when they should return to normal. But some U.S. health officials said, restrictions and closures were for saving their lives.
Scores of New Yorkers went to Central Park in droves. It was opened during the state’s pause order. It is said that officials had braced for this circumstance and expected it and NYPD was out in force. NYC Park Department said, of the volume of people in there, most were in compliance with social distancing guidelines. But reportedly, New York is averaging at least 900 new cases a day. They need more citizens to be in restriction enforcement.
