A Once-Partner Became Enemy; A Century-old Ship.

Sudanese armed forces and Rapid Support Forces, a paramilitary group, worked together to overthrow a dictator who ruled Sudan for over three decades. After two military coups, two factions failed to integrate two groups and distribute the powers. Sudan tried to return to civilian rule, but two factions ended up being locked in battle. Since the war broke out, 300 were killed, and 3000 were injured. Despite the call for truces, the residential areas turned into warfare, and deployed anti-aircrafts are throughout there. Other countries tried to evacuate their citizens, but the closed airport hindered it. The leader of RSF told CNN, “Ruling Sudan is not my endgame. There is a framework agreement between Sudanese stakeholders that should be adhered to. And they’re making this propaganda.” RSF is attempting to defeat the Sudanese armed forces’ headquarters. People are hoping to finalize their war soon but also wondering who’s going to rule Sudan, and it’s aggravating the tensions between the two factions.
