World leaders, climate advocates, and industry representatives attended COP 28 to address the climate crisis. 123 countries have pledged to recognize the link between climate change and health. Scientists estimate that 7 million people die a year due to pollution, notably fossil fuel emissions and plants, directly affecting the climate by causing searing heat waves, pathogen expansion, and global warming. COP attendees will come up with ways to phase down fossil fuels. It’s not only about carbon emissions but also how many human lives can be saved.

Outside of our galaxy, the Milky Way, a pinwheel-shaped galaxy, experts spotted a young star 160000-light-year-old away. It is believed to be in the process of forming a new planet, as planets assumingly develop from collision and fusion of tiny dust particles. It's the first time to find a potentially forming planet outside of a celestial neighborhood.
Kayaking in the Arctic Ocean
A 32-year-old man set a world record for a glacial waterfall drop in the Svalbard archipelago, Norway. Scaling a ladder to a 20-meter waterfall, he descended alone in a kayak, describing the experience of kayaking on the frigid water as being on another planet.
